G'day, I'm Mark at Xylem Gardens, a local beekeeper in Hobart and the upper Derwent Valley. I produce pure Tasmanian honey, provide pollination services to local farmers and build up my Apiary by collecting swarms of bees around southern Tasmania.
Bee Hive Management
Keeping the bees healthy is my priority. Throughout the week I do regular maintenance and hive inspections to ensure the bee colonies in my Apiary are thriving. From checking for pests to ensuring proper honey production, I handle all aspects of hive care. I can help with your hives too!
Swarm Collection & Bee Relocation
If you have a swarm of bees on your property, I offer safe and professional swarm collection services. I can collect and relocate a swarm to a suitable location, protecting both the bees and your property.
Pollination Services
I provide pollination services to local farmers and orchardists. By placing managed hives on a farm, we help increase crop yields and improve the quality of fruits, vegetables, and nuts. The bees are carefully monitored to ensure optimal pollination, helping to achieve a healthier and more productive harvest season.
Honey Harvesting & Processing
Tasmania is home to some of the world’s most pristine environments, and our honey reflects that purity. I harvest and process different varieties of honey from my Apiaries, including the world-famous Leatherwood honey, known for its aromatic and rich flavour. My process ensures that every drop of honey is handled with care - from extraction to bottling - preserving its natural enzymes, nutrients, and delicate floral notes.
